My Substack is called The Playful Poet. By playful, I don't mean silly, but surprising, like unexpected light in darkness. I write poetry about the most surprising story of all. I write poetry about Jesus Christ to focus on what’s beautiful and shine His light into the darkness.

I’m Sakari. I’m 24 and single. I was adopted from India at 9 months old. I’ve been writing poetry regularly since I was around 13. Writing poems is a way for me to process life experiences, pray, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ! When I’m not writing poetry, I like reading, playing my guitar, riding horses, watching tv with family, and eating ice cream with friends. I also enjoy spending time with my cockapoo Midnight. I’d love to own a horse one day but I don’t live on a ranch, even though I live in MT.
