Psalm 116
Lord, My love for You overflows
You have delivered Me from death’s throes
Sheol gripped Me in its fangs
I was surrounded by death’s pangs
“O Lord, I pray, deliver My soul!”
O God, You’re merciful
You heard My loud anguished cries
And removed tears from My eyes.
You’ve made Me walk among the living 40 days
For from the tomb I have been raised.
All people lie with their tongues
But Lord, You’re the True Faithful One.
O my soul, in Christ all your rest find
With you, the Lord has been bountifully kind!
Lord, what can I offer Thee
For all Your benefits to me?
You drank the wrath due for my damnation
So now I offer the cup of my salvation
My life will be my thanksgiving sacrifice
For Your saving blood, Jesus Christ
Lord, You have loosed sins bonds
On me and given me a new song.
Fellow saints, I vow to call on His Name
And follow Him boldly without shame
Praise the LORD with me
From now through all eternity!
