I’m so thrilled about this collaborative poem on Psalm 11 with
!Psalm 11 (Poem)
Sanctuary I may find
If I but stay with Thee.
I let the birds be the ones
Who, to the mountains, flee.
For far beyond this battle ground,
I see the liars still,
With bended bows from shadows bound
To pierce the righteous will.
When foundations are destroyed and fail,
What can the righteous do?
But find the Holy Throne’s relief .
The Lord gives refuge true.
His gaze upon the finite ones
Beyond His throne is sure.
His faithful ones, He does assess
To see if they’ll endure.
The wicked meet the sulfured cup
of righteous anger’s wrath.
But deeds of love, to Him are sweet,
And pave the upright’s path.
Your sulfured cup of endless fury
My sinful soul deserved,
But on the cross, Christ died for me
To Him, the cup was served.
By Christ, my soul has found the way
To look upon Your face.
And I’ve received a different cup:
This cup, the cup of grace.
Awesome! Was so cool to be able to work together to pen these faithful words.
Aw, so beautiful. Love that cup of grace
