To catch up, you can read Psalm 18 before reading today’s post if you want.
Psalm 19
When people look at the sky and see the sun there,
Lord let them see Your glory being declared
May they listen to the heavenly call
To worship and before You fall.
The sun is a groom ready for his bride,
A strong man racing with joyful stride.
As nothing is hidden from the heat of the sun
Nothing is hidden from the Holy One.
Your perfect law revives my soul.
Your right precepts make my heart joyful.
Fear of You is clean and forever endures
My eyes are enlightened by Your commands pure.
In Your righteous rules, Your will I behold.
I desire Your will more than fine gold
How sweet the honeycomb when it drips,
But how much sweeter the Words of Your lips!
May all who acknowledge Your glory above,
Taste the sweetness of Your words of love.
Like me, may they be warned O Lord,
Keep Your Word and taste Your Great Reward.
I’m declared innocent through the blood of Christ,
And sin does not reign over my life!
O Rock and Redeemer Who’s made my heart new,
May my thoughts and my words be acceptable to You!
I love your poetic takes on the Psalms. Psalm 19 is a feat in and of itself. This is beautifully written!
